The Includem Gangs Task Force Intervention study

This study investigated a community based project anchored in an understanding of the importance of relationships and social networks in the creation and maintenance of life chances and health.

It aimed:

  • To better understand the process of change undergone by teenagers who, involved in gang activity, are mentored to develop positive aspirations and move on from gang related activities.
  • To assist Includem develop an on-going means of monitoring change at the network level experienced by their clients.

The project is a component of Community Intervention to Reduce Violence; a suite of projects and initiatives to turn around and sustain reductions in violence and gang related activity in Glasgow.
