'Impact of weather on human health - current and future issues' The Met Office is the UK's national weather service and the government's principal centre for climate change research. Over the last 10 years, a programme has been developed researching how weather and climate affect people's health. Wayne Elliot will discuss the work of the Met Office in relation to climate change including: what aspects of the weather are important; what areas of illness/wellbeing are chiefly affected; how the health programme operates as a business and the opportunites and challenges this brings; and future aspects of the climate on health.
