Download the East Renfrewshire Community Health Profile (This file may take several minutes to
download).
This profile has been compiled by GCPH in collaboration with
the ISD Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
It is one of ten health and wellbeing profiles covering the ten Community
Health (& Care) Partnerships in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Each profile provides over 70 indicators for a range of health outcomes (e.g.
life expectancy, mortality, hospitalisation) and health determinants (e.g.
smoking levels, breastfeeding, income, employment, crime, education).
These data are presented in a variety of formats: as a series of maps,
together with trend and ‘spine’ graphs of health indicators for each
neighbourhood /intermediate zone in a community and for the community as a
whole. A summary table with definitions and sources for each
indicator is provided at the end of the profile.
We hope that these new profiles will serve a
number of purposes, including:
· providing
organisations and communities with up-to-date and locally-relevant public
health intelligence
· highlighting
health and social inequalities
· showing
trends in key indicators
· providing
local level information for targeting resources and priority-setting
· developing
knowledge of the complex nature of health and its determinants
The table below indicates the neighbourhoods (and their populations) covered
