The Glasgow Centre for Population Health is a research and development centre. It works across the boundaries of research, policy, implementation and community life to shape a healthier future for Scotland.

The Centre brings people with different perspectives together to commit to fresh thinking and approaches to improve Glasgow's health through programmes which:

  • develop a better understanding of health in Glasgow
  • evaluate the health impacts of local strategies, and
  • lead to new ways of enhancing population health in the 21st century.

Based in Glasgow, the Centre has a focus on the particular characteristics of this part of the world - including health inequalities - and we believe that our approaches and learning will have implications for many cities and regions.
