The Glasgow Centre for Population Health was officially launched on 27 October 2004 with a scientific meeting of some of the best respected minds in public health. Experts including Dr Harry Burns, Dr Carol Tannahill and Prof Phil Hanlon spoke of the work the Centre would be undertaking to 'build a healthier future for Glasgow and the West of Scotland'.
