Foundations for wellbeing: building connections between public health and housing

In 2017 the Scottish Public Health Network collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders to develop a ‘best practice resource’ on how public health and housing sectors in Scotland could maximise their role in reducing health inequalities.

This joint NHS GGC/GCPH workshop event discussed this topic and explored local collaborative action.

The event was hosted by Jackie Erdman, Head of Equality and Human Rights, NHS GGC and there were keynote presentations on the ScotPho report ‘Foundations for well-being: reconnecting public health and housing’ by Dr Emily Tweed and the latest local evidence on health and housing and health by Prof Carol Tannahill.

The keynote presentations from the event are available to download below.

Key findings from GoWell - Prof Carol Tannahill, Director, Glasgow Centre for Population Health

Foundations for wellbeing: reconnecting public health and housing - Dr Emily Tweed, Clinical Lecturer in Public Health and Honorary Specialty Registrar, University of Glasgow and NHS GGC
