GCPH Seminar Series 20 - Lecture 4: Mikaela Loach
In conversation with Mikaela Loach
We are delighted that the fourth seminar in our current series will hear from one of the leading voices in the climate action movement, Mikaela Loach.
About the speaker
Mikaela is a climate-justice activist, best-selling author of ‘It’s Not That Radical: Climate Action To Transform Our World’ and co-host of The YIKES Podcast. In 2020, Forbes, Global Citizen, and BBC Woman’s Hour named Mikaela as one of the most influential women in the UK climate movement.
Mikaela is interested in how the climate crisis intersects with systems of oppression with the aim of making the climate movement a more inclusive space. Taking account of racism and power as fundamental causes of health inequality, she makes a vital contribution to the evolving understanding of climate justice.
