The 'Big Eat In' research seminar took place on Friday 3 December 2010 at the Lighthouse.

It followed on from 'Glasgow’s Big Eat In’, a pilot initiative which ran in eight Glasgow secondary schools over the course of one academic year, aimed at encouraging junior secondary school pupils to stay on school premises at lunchtime. Findings from an evaluation of the initiative were presented and discussed.

Speakers at this event included Gordon Matheson (Leader of Glasgow City Council), Maureen McKenna (Director of Education Services, Glasgow City Council) and Professor Martin Caraher (Professor of Food Policy, City University, London).
