New Understanding Glasgow films

12 April 2013

New series of films, set in and around Glasgow, reflecting life in in the city.

We've just launched four films, set in and around Glasgow, which reflect the lived experiences of Glaswegians and let people tell their own stories about the city.

“Poverty doesn’t make an area; it is the community spirit that makes an area.”

“Say you’re making a bench.  You’ve got a beautiful product at the end of it.  That’s meaningful to me…you’re producing something”

Working Men, Sense of PlaceYoung Mums and Bolting Doors, Mending Fences are the first four films in a planned series and cover a wide range of issues which affect people living in and around Glasgow – employment, regeneration, community spirit and parenthood to name a few.

You can read more information and view the films here.

We are interested in getting feedback on the films and in hearing your ideas about how we can use these films and any events or organisations we can work with to share these films. Please use our contact form to give us your thoughts or suggestions.
