Equally Well
Equally Well is a report by the Scottish Government’s ministerial task force on health inequalities. The report called for a number of ‘test sites’ to be set up to explore how services could be better delivered in order to address health inequalities. The GCPH is currently involved in the work of two out the eight projects that were awarded test site status in 2008.
The Glasgow City Test Site is exploring whether integrating health considerations into spatial planning policy and practice can assist in addressing health inequalities across the city. Meanwhile, the Govanhill Test Site is focusing on the outcomes and effects of the work of the Govanhill Neighbourhood Management Group (GNMG) in terms of reducing health inequalities, assessing the extent to which this new organisational working structure can assist in delivering change. Further details of the work carried out by both test sites can be viewed in the tabs below.
