Understanding Glasgow's Health: local to international perspectives
This programme of work builds on what was previously known as the ‘observatory function’ of GCPH. It seeks to develop relevant and meaningful health intelligence to strengthen our understanding of health processes, patterning of health inequality, emergent issues and health related trends in Glasgow and the wider region.
Aims
- To improve understanding of health inequality in Glasgow and in comparison to other UK and European cities and regions.
- To develop innovative approaches to presenting health-related information and seek to use health intelligence to influence national policy, local government strategy, public health reports, academic teaching and more.
- To develop evidence and insights through new research and the exploration of new data sets.
