The development of health and wellbeing indicators for Glasgow

The GCPH is leading the development of Health and Wellbeing (HWB) indicators for the city.  This work is in part a response to the city strategy action plan of Nov 2008 which proposed research into such indicators for the city.  It is also a response to the recent Health Commission report - a set of HWB indicators will allow progress to be measured against the recommendations of that report.

Understanding Glasgow

Understanding Glasgow mandalaThe Understanding Glasgow website launched in January 2011. Part of the Glasgow Indicators Project, it is the result of collaborative efforts between the city's main public agencies, pulling together information from a range of sources. The site provides new insights and highlights some striking and surprising statistics about Scotland’s largest city in an engaging and accessible way. Further work and development is planned for 2011, including a parallel set of childrens' indicators. For more information, visit the Understanding Glasgow site.
