Scottish Observatory for Work and Health

The Scottish Observatory for Work & Health (SOW&H) was established in 2008 to monitor and research the movements between work, worklessness and the related effects on population health.

It is based within the Healthy Working Lives Group (HWLG) of the University of Glasgow which undertakes a wide programme of research on the working age population. Access more information about the SOW&H and the HWLG on the relevant University of Glasgow web pages.

The Glasgow Centre for Population Health along with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, NHS Lanarkshire, Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and Scottish Government Health Directorates funded the SOW&H from 2008 to 2011.
