Fiona Crawford is a Consultant in Public Health who works in a joint role between NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) Public Health Directorate and the Glasgow Centre for Population Health.

In her GGC role, Fiona is currently leading/supporting the development of research/evaluation to investigate the individual, social and community impacts of the establishment of a proposed safe drug consumption facility in Glasgow city centre for people who inject drugs.

In her GCPH role, along with James Egan, she jointly leads the work programme ‘Tackling inequality across the life course’. Fiona has specific responsibility for the evaluation of a 3 year childcare pathfinder project (Childcare and Nurture in Glasgow East, CHaNGE) resourced by the Big Lottery Fund.  The project aims to establish a collaborative model which will provide accessible, high quality, flexible, early learning and childcare for local families in the area.

She has a particular interest in the prevention of family and childhood adversity and, within GGC and GCPH work, contributes to the development of national and local  policy and planning, awareness raising, practice development and research in this area.
