Dr Katharine Timpson

Public Health Research Specialist

Katharine is a Public Health Research Specialist. Her background is in geography and disaster management and her PhD research used archival policy sources to contribute to research on Glasgow’s excess mortality.

In her role at Glasgow Centre for Population Health, Katharine has been involved in projects on: Universal Basic Income; the transition from homelessness into permanent housing; mental health and climate change; the provision of mental health care; older people’s experiences of work; how we measure poverty; and updating the Understanding Glasgow website.
