We're moving!

26 February 2015

We are very pleased to confirm that we will be moving from our current home on Elmbank Street to the Olympia Building at Bridgeton Cross in May of this year.

The move was announced today by Alex Neil MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Communities and Pensioners' Rights during a visit to the Olympia Building.

We will be sharing the top-floor of the 103-year-old former theatre and cinema with 15 colleagues from our University of Glasgow partner.

The move to the Olympia building will enable us to continue our work to improve health and address inequalities in Glasgow. It will also bring new opportunities for working with Glasgow University and for working more closely with a range of partners, community organisations and local people in the East End. We are looking forward to developing these new relationships and collaborations and together with our partners at Glasgow University we will be looking at how best to develop these over the coming months.

Commenting on the move, Prof Carol Tannahill, our Director, stated:

“We are delighted to be moving into the Olympia Building with colleagues from the University of Glasgow, and to have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the east end of Glasgow. This is an important point in time to build the Commonwealth Games legacy by focusing on improving the health and wellbeing of all of Glasgow’s people, and the GCPH team is looking forward to playing its part.”
