Glasgow Cash-First Project 2024-2026: A summary

The Glasgow Cash-First Project was one of eight Scottish Government pilots aiming to reduce reliance on food banks by prioritising income maximisation and advice-based support.

Delivered between December 2023 and January 2026, the project took a systems approach, focussing on partnership working, improving access to existing services, and strengthening workforce capability rather than creating new services.
