Glasgow City Neighbourhood Profiles: A comparative analysis of 56 neighbourhoods
This report presents a series of Glasgow City neighbourhood level graphs, drawing on data from the 2026 neighbourhood profiles published on the Understanding Glasgow website in collaboration with Public Health Scotland. Each of the 23 profile indicators are presented under the following groups: Population, Households, Environment, Socio-economic, Education, Poverty and Health.
The report aims to provide a clear and accessible comparison of each indicator across neighbourhoods, while also benchmarking local values against Glasgow and Scotland averages, enabling local results to be interpreted alongside this wider geographical context.
Collectively, the charts highlight the extent of variation within the city across key topic areas such as income and employment deprivation, child poverty, population, health status and travel behaviours. Presenting the indicators in this consistent format enables straightforward comparison between neighbourhoods, helping to identify patterns of inequality and advantage, and providing an evidence base to inform local planning, decision-making and priority setting.
