Going to Gothenburg: Reflections on a Study Visit

Dec 2012

In September 2012, two GCPH team members (Fiona Crawford and Bruce Whyte) along with a Glasgow City Council education colleague (Andrea Crawford) visited Gothenburg in Sweden.  The purpose of the visit was to gather information and learning regarding healthy school food policy, school-based physical education and the development of active sustainable travel in the city.

Following their visit, they produced this short report reflecting on their experience and proposing a number of local actions. Collaborative work continues with colleagues in Gothenburg to build on this learning and influence policy and practice in Scotland and in Sweden.
