Jamie currently runs the Building Connections and Local Capacity programme.  Funded by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and supported by GCPH, Glasgow Kelvin College, the NHS and What Works Scotland, this body of work is testing models of collaborative working across, and within, the public and third sectors.

At four specific test sites (two jobcentres and 2 GP surgeries), organisations from a range of backgrounds (e.g. mental health, young people, lone parents, financial support) are delivering a variety of on-site support services. Drawing upon action research and improvement science methodologies, Building Connections aims to contribute to the body of knowledge surrounding collaborative working and develop a practical model to support organisations adopting this approach.

With a particular focus on the impact of poverty and the heightened difficulties faced by BME groups and Lone Parents, it intends to contribute to the emerging body of methods challenging traditional notions of service design and delivery.
